Today, over 30 years since its inception, the Single Market is a pillar of European integration, driving growth, prosperity, and solidarity. Yet, the need for adjustment has becomeevident as the global landscape shifts dramatically, marked by the EU’s reduced share in the global economy and the rise of global instability. A robust political commitment is essential to adapt the Single Market to this new reality.
