“Everything that We Considered for Granted Isn’t Anymore”

The war in Ukraine, migration, EU enlargement: Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and former Slovenian President Danilo Türk sat down for a conversation about these and other problems the Union needs to deal with.

Danilo Türk: The EU is at the beginning of a new institutional cycle, the European Parliament just started its legislative period, and the new Commission will be formed within the next few weeks. But at the same time ,the European Union has a problem with defining its cooperation with other major players of the world. China has been referred to as a “systemic rival”, Russia is seen as an enemy, and there is mistrust in the US. How would it be if Europe were “home alone”?
